When a certificate is "untrusted" by IE (such as a self-signed certificate), it displays a "Certificate error" icon next to the address bar. It used to be that you can click on that icon, "View certificates", then install it. On Windows 7, because of UAC , the "Install Certificate..." button is no longer displayed. In order to see the button, you have to start IE9 with administrator privileges: right click on the IE9 shortcut icon and select " Run as administrator... ". To save the certificate to a file, click the Details tab on the Certificate dialog, then click " Copy to File... ".

This is a series of notes on building custom JSF 2.0 facelet taglibs, ordered from the simplest to the less simple. Hopefully it can help you to get started on how to build custom taglibs for JSF. A simple JSF facelets taglib example The simplest taglib I can think of. Using EL expression with a custom tag Make tag attributes dynamic. Mixing custom tag with facelet ui taglibs Discover things you might run into when you get into more details. Which EL context to use? Using the wrong EL context can lead to subtle bugs. JSF facelet taglib backed by a UI component A UIComponent can be a tag handler, without being TagHandler . Using tag handler, UI component and renderer with a JSF facelet...

I built a very basic JSF application and deployed to Tomcat 7.0.22, but it failed with this error: Caused by: java.lang.ClassFormatError: Absent Code... That looks weird and I wasn't able to find a sensible explanation! So I copied the jsf-api-2.1.jar , which was downloaded from the java.net Maven repository by Maven, into a temp folder. And tested it with this simple program: public class ClassFormatErrorTest { public ... I also copied servlet-api.jar from Tomcat's lib folder to the temp folder. Sure enough it failed with the same error: C:\tmp>java -cp .;jsf-api-2.1.jar;servlet-api.jar ... But when I replaced the javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet class with one I compiled from source, the error disappears! Conclusions: The jar file jsf-api-2.1.jar from java.net Maven repository is good for compilation only (cannot be used...

The Android unit test framework is based on JUnit 3 , not JUnit 4. Test cases have to extend junit.framework.TestCase or a subclass (such as android.test.InstrumentationTestCase ). Tests are identified by public methods whose name starts with test , not methods annotated with @Test (as in JUnit 4). An Android test suite is packaged as an APK, just like the application being tested. To create a test package, first you need to identify the application package it is testing. Google suggests to put the test package source in a directory named tests/ alongside the src/ directory of the main application. At runtime, Android instrumentation loads both the test package and the application under test into the same process. Therefore, the tests can invoke methods on...

These error level constants are defined in PHP : Constant Value Description E_ERROR 1 Fatal run-time errors. Execution of the script is halted. E_WARNING 2 (1<<1) Run-time warnings (non-fatal errors). Execution of the script is not halted. E_PARSE 4 (1<<2) Compile-time parse errors. Parse errors should only be generated by the parser. E_NOTICE 8 (1<<3) Notices. Indicate that the script encountered something that could indicate an error, but could also happen in the normal course of running a script. E_CORE_ERROR 16 (1<<4) Fatal errors that occur during PHP's initial startup. This is like an E_ERROR, except it is generated by the core of PHP. E_CORE_WARNING 32 (1<<5) Warnings (non-fatal errors) that occur during PHP's initial startup. This is like an E_WARNING, except it is generated...

This error happens when the class exists but it does not match the package name. In the screen capture below, the class Nothing exists but it doesn't reside in the com.demo.io package. $ java com.demo.io.Nothing Exception in thread ... A much shorter error message displays if the class does not exist at all: $ java com.demo.io.Nothing2 Exception in thread...

Suddenly my Windows XP failed to boot with this error message on a blank screen: missing or corrupt <windows root>\system32\hal.dll I took out the hard drive, put it in a USB enclosure and attached it to another PC. Then I ran CHKDSK and it fixed some file system errors. But I did find that hal.dll was intact, so hal.dll was not missing or corrupt . It turned out that the file that was really missing was C:\boot.ini . It is a hidden file, so you have to use attrib boot.ini to see it. The file is missing if attrib boot.ini returns nothing (run in the root folder C:\). In my case I reconstructed the boot.ini file: [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)dis... and changed the attributes back...

This error happens when the ordering of elements in web.xml is not correct. For example, in a <servlet> declaration, <servlet-name> should come before <servlet-class> . If you switch the order of <servlet-name> and <servlet-class> , you'll get this error. This was my stack trace in JBoss when I declared <load-on-startup> before <init-param> for a servlet: DEPLOYMENTS IN ERROR: Deployment "vfszip:/C:/...

I had this configure error while building PostgreSQL on Solaris 10: checking size of off_t... configure: error: cannot... Looking at config.log it was apparent that when configure tried to run conftest it failed to load libreadline.so.5 . I had libreadline.so.5 under /usr/local/lib , so I made a symlink to it under /usr/lib and that solved the problem. Maybe there's another way to tell conftest to look for libreadline.so.5 under /usr/local/lib ?
