The C function getsockopt lets you get the error codes with the option SO_ERROR . The possible error numbers are defined in the global errno.h . The relevant values are: #define ETIMEDOUT 110 /* Connection timed out */ ... But here's the whole list on my Linux system ( /usr/include/asm-generic/errno.h ): #ifndef _ASM_GENERIC_ERRNO_H #define _ASM_GENER...

Facelet requires strict XML syntax, so unmatched tags (start with no end, etc) generate errors. This is a trick to workaround that. The following code generates a row for every three items and for each row assigns a row id: <!-- using ui:repeat --> <ui:repeat var="name" ...

When you run automated Android tests with Eclipse or from the command line, you get text output, which isn't good for reporting purposes. If you run a large set of test cases with automated build, the text report isn't very helpful. Fortunately, Android CTS generates test reports in XML with accompanying XSL to make it look nice in a browser. To run your own tests with Android CTS: Download Android CTS Make a new directory MyRepository under android-cts , alongside the existing repository directory. Copy host_config.xml from repository to MyRepository Create directory plans under MyRepository , add a test plan ( MyTests.xml ): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <TestPla... Facts: Dynamic proxy classes are generated by the Java runtime, from a list of interfaces given by the user. The generated proxy class implements all interfaces given by the user. The dynamic proxy class is not synthetic . The dynamic proxy class is useless without a user supplied InvocationHandler class, since there's only one constructor for the proxy class and it takes a InvocationHandler as parameter. Example code: import java.lang.reflect.Constructor; import ja... Output: Class: $Proxy0 isSynthetic: false Constructo...

The root URL is: http://android.git.kernel.org/ Built-in applications are projects named platform/packages/apps/<app_name>.git , for example, phone app is: platform/packages/apps/Phone.git , contacts app is: platform/packages/apps/Contacts.git . Android framework classes such as android.app.Activity , android.content.ContentProvider etc., are under the platform/frameworks/base.git project. By default, browsing displays the HEAD branch, to see a different branch, add hb parameter. Compare: http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/build.git;a=tree;f=tools to: http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/build.git;a=tree;f=tools;hb=refs/tags/android-2.2.1_r1 , you'll notice that dexpreopt is missing in the former. Use the tags action to display a list of tags for the current project. For example: http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/build.git;a=tags . An incomplete parameter list (parameters are separated by a semicolon): p : project, for example, platform/build.git . a : action, for example, tree , summary , log etc. f : file name. hb : branch or tag name, for example:...

The String.format() method provides versatile formatting capabilities. This tutorial tries to present these capabilities in a accessible manner. The format string A format string can contain zero, one, or more format specifiers . The code presented here is a simple implementation of a tab set. It is used to demo how a tab set could be implemented. The code is stand alone and does not depend on any JavaScript libraries. Multiple tab sets within the same page is supported. The HTML markup is fairly simple: Tabs sets are contained within a DIV element with class name "tabsContainer". Define a UL list for the tabs. Follow the UL list with equal number of DIVs for the tab contents. The Nifty Corners Cube technique is used to draw the rounded corners (original form, not the enhanced JavaScript form). HTML, CSS and JavaScript: <!doctype html> <html> <head> <style typ...
